ADONAI YEMALEH ZOHT

MESSIANIC JEWISH SYNAGOGUE

אדני ימאל זאת

Our Leaders:

Michael Wallace, son of a Gentile father and Jewish mother, is the rabbi of our congregation and has been since its inception.  Michael was called by  HaShem to return to his hometown of Tyler, Texas to start the congregation in 1999, after having been gone, living in the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex for twelve years.  Michael married his wife, Deborah, in early 1985 and they gave birth to their one son in December of that year.  Their son, Nathaniel, now helps to lead the congregation.  Michael has been involved in Messianic Judaism since 1989 and has led the congregation, which he started in Tyler, Texas, since May of 2000.  Michael  received his s'mikhah in 2000 as a Messianic Rabbi, during Sukkot of that year.

Our Calling and Vision:

Adonai Yemaleh Zoht Messianic Jewish Synagogue has the primary calling and vision of making a 'Jewish Space', a place where Jews who believe in Yeshua as Messiah can come and worship in a setting that is familiar to them.  We are also preparing, little by little, for the future time when Scripture states that “all Israel will be saved”.  Right now, as a step to see this calling fulfilled, we at AYZ also have a second calling, which is currently, actively happening each day.  This second calling is to teach and minister into the Gentile Body of Believers an understanding of the "Jewishness" of Yeshua (Jesus) and the Hebrew roots of their faith.

The Ruach HaKodesh is moving, throughout the world, through remarkable phenomena, reopening the eyes of many. There is, simultaneously, a call to the Jewish people to come back to their God through His Son, Yeshua the Messiah and a reawakening, in the Gentile realm, to the foundations of Christianity being rooted in the Scriptures and practices of the Hebrews and HaShem’s dealings with Israel.  Not since the days that Yeshua and His disciples walked the earth have there been so many Jewish people that have come to faith in Yeshua as Messiah.  The “root” is coming back to life and "branches” are being grafted back in.  This was all foretold in the Scriptures of G-d.

We are all living in exciting times, if we are following after Adonai, and terrifying times, if we are not.  The Scriptures tell us that the generation that would see the rebirth of Israel would also see the return of the Messiah.  Time as we have known it is about to end.  The time of HaShem’s wrath upon sin and wickedness is soon to come.  We have been chosen, by G-d, to live in this time in history.  Are we doing what He created us to do?  Are we fulfilling the plan for which He had us born?  Ask Abba if your place is here, at AYZ, to join with us in fulfilling your, and our, part of what He has destined.

Our Beliefs:

We believe that when HaShem created the universe, He set in motion a plan.  That plan included each of us.  That is why He formed us in our mother’s womb, had us born and placed us on this earth.  Whether we know it or not, or believe it or not, before the foundations of the earth were laid He planned for this very day in our lives.  Some people have been told all their lives that they are not wanted, that they are a burden.  That is not the way Abba sees anyone.  Sometimes people see no purpose in living.  That is because they have never known that G-d made them for a reason.  The Bible tells us that “without a vision the people perish”.  A vision gives us a purpose.  With purpose there is hope.

It is our desire, today, that if you do not already know Him, that you will meet the One who gives life purpose and hope. That One is none other than Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah).  The Scriptures tell us that it was through Him that all things were created.  That includes you.  He holds the vision for each person’s life.  He created each one of us with that vision in mind.  If you don’t know Him, but you would like to, we can introduce you to Him.  It’s part of our purpose.

The Good News of the Kingdom:

In today’s ranks of those who claim to have been redeemed by Yeshua (Jesus), especially here in America, there is a pervasive belief that “salvation” is our only concern.  However, Yeshua never taught a Gospel of salvation.  His message was two-fold - to the disobedient He proclaimed, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is within your grasp,” and to His followers He commanded, “Go and make talmidim (disciples) of all the nations.”

Do not get us wrong, Yeshua’s atoning work upon the cross, and the salvation it provides for us, is absolutely crucial. Without it, there is no access to the Kingdom of G-d.  It would be like attempting to enter a room which has no door. Yeshua clearly proclaimed that He was the only way to the Father.  However, as necessary as it is to trust in Yeshua’s atoning work, it nevertheless is simply the doorway into the Kingdom.  On the other side of that doorway is a whole new world, with a different Master and a different set of rules, and with possibilities beyond our wildest dreams.

The problem with only telling people about the doorway, is that the person who only understands the doorway may step across the threshold, into that infinitely vast chamber that is the Kingdom, but they get stuck at the door and miss out on everything else in the room.  They never grow beyond that point.

Making talmidim means teaching and training Yeshua’s followers about all that is in the Kingdom, and holding the talmid (disciple) accountable for his actions.  You see, when you crossed that threshold, just like the People of Israel crossed Yam Suf (Reed Sea), you were to have left behind all that was part of the you that lived in the past.  You were cut off from the old kingdom and its “Pharaoh”.  You are now expected to live as a Child of HaShem.  So, you see, it’s about far more than just salvation.

Other projects that will be forthcoming are the creation of a master list of all the churches, synagogues and organizations that feed people, to be given to the Police Department and other need-to-know departments and organizations, help building new homes and remodeling homes for the elderly through Habitat for Humanity.  To learn more about Habitat for Humanity, go here -

We have other ideas in the works as well in which both the congregation and individuals can be involved.  If you want to partner with us in any of these endeavors, please call us and speak to us about it.  We could always use both funds and volunteers for these things.

Every month,  our local food bank takes certain collections to help the needy in our area.  They collect certain things like  different types of food,  blankets in the winter, and fans in the summer for instance.   Our congregation regularly collects these specific items on a monthly basis.  If you would be interested in helping the needy in our community, please click on the link below to see how you can help.

If you feel led by HaShem, we would appreciate any financial help you could give.  Many blessings and Shalom for your faithfulness to HaShem and your gift to help us continue our ministry in East Texas!
